Planning a Property Purchase?
A Land Information Memorandum (LIM) report is usually requested when purchasing a property. Whether you are purchasing your first home or adding to your portfolio learn a few handy things to note to ensure your offer stays on track.
We’ve noticed an increase in requests for Land Information Memorandum (LIM) reports, and we’re excited to see so many people interested in learning more about the properties in our district. A LIM report is a comprehensive summary of all the information the Council holds about a property. It helps you understand any work that’s been done to improve the property and can also highlight any potential issues that might be important to know.
LIM reports are often requested when a property is up for sale, so this rise in requests reflects the growing interest in properties across the District.
Please note, it can take up to 10 business days to process a LIM report, as our team works hard to gather and compile all the relevant information. To help plan things smoothly, we recommend allowing the full 10-day processing time when submitting an offer.
Also, good to know: LIM reports can only be provided to the person who requested the report, both in the full report and in any status updates we provide by phone so if it’s your name on the request it’s only you we can speak too.
