Third-Party CCTV Installation
To ensure the responsible use of surveillance technology in public spaces, anyone wishing to install and operate a CCTV camera on Council-owned land must first obtain approval. This process helps protect privacy, align with legal requirements, and ensure that cameras are used appropriately for community safety and operational purposes.
Council will review each application to assess its necessity, location, and compliance with relevant regulations before granting approval. If an application is approved, the applicant will be required to sign the Third-Party CCTV Agreement (PDF file, 63.9 KB) to ensure ongoing compliance with Council’s conditions.
