I have my Resource Consent, now what?

We must monitor compliance with conditions imposed on a resource consent, and their impact on the environment.

Generally, when we grant resource consent it is subject to some conditions. We will monitor those conditions to ensure that you are complying with your resource consent, and to provide you with assistance when non-compliance or an environmental effect has been identified.

There is a small cost associated with on-going monitoring of resource consents, but your initial visit by us has already been paid. Not all resource consents require on-going monitoring such as subdivisions once completed. Relocated buildings may require monitoring infrequently once compliance has been achieved for the purpose of noting when, or if I building has been removed from a site without us knowing.
