Upcoming Road Closures
Below is a list of upcoming road closures that are scheduled to take place in 2024 due to planned maintenance work or events being held.
Temporary Closure of Te Awa Road
Manawatu District Council wishes to advise that Te Awa Road will be closed from Coulters Line to Ridge Road, between 6.00am on 8 July 2024 to 6pm 22 July 2024, for the purpose of culvert replacement. Should weather or other factors outside of the contractors control delay the works, they will be undertaken on the next suitable dates.
Residents on the northern side of 262 Te Awa Road will be able to access their properties via Ridge Road.
Residents on the southern side of 262 Te Awa Road will be able to access their property via Te Awa Road/Coulters Line.
Temporary Closure of Port Street East, Feilding
Manawatu District Council wishes to advise that Port Street East will be closed to through traffic from its intersection with Pharazyn Street to its intersection with Churcher Street, from 6.00am Thursday 4 July 2024 until 6.00pm Friday 5 July 2024, to allow for roading construction work to be completed. Should weather or other factors outside of the contractors control delay the works, they will be undertaken on the next suitable dates.

Temporary Closure of Roberts Line
Manawatu District Council wishes to advise that Roberts Line will be closed from its intersection with Newbury Line to the end of road (dead end), from 7am to 7pm on the 12, 15, 18, 19, 22, 23 and 25 July 2024, to allow for pole maintenance to be undertaken. Should weather or other factors outside of the contractors control delay the works, they will be undertaken on the next suitable dates.

Temporary Closure of Humber Street, Rongotea
Manawatu District Council wishes to advise that Humber Street will be closed from its intersection with Medway Street to its intersection with Mersey Street, from 6:30am to 5.30pm on Tuesday 2 July 2024, .to allow for the installation of services. Should weather or other factors outside of the contractors control delay the works, they will be undertaken on the next suitable dates.

Temporary Closure of Opatt Service Lane, Sanson
Manawatu District Council wishes to advise that Opatt Service Lane will be closed on Monday 17 June 2024 from 8.00am until 4.00pm, in order for service connection works to be undertaken. Should weather or other factors outside of the contractors control delay the works, they will be undertaken on the next suitable date.

Temporary Closure of Grey Street/Manchester Street, Feilding
Manawatu District Council wishes to advise that Grey Street will be closed from its intersection with Church Street to its intersection with Warwick Street, and Manchester Street will be closed from its intersection with Hobson Street to its intersection with Fitzroy Street, overnight on Sunday 16 June and Monday 17 June 2024 from 9.00pm to 5.00am, in order for pavement rehabilitation works to be undertaken. Should weather or other factors outside of the contractors control delay the works, they will be undertaken on the next suitable dates.

Temporary Closure of Forlong Road, Colyton
Manawatu District Council wishes to advise that, Forlong Road will be closed from seal end to the end of the road, from 7.00am to 5.30pm, Monday - Thursday, for three days between the dates of 17 June and 2 July 2024, for the purpose of road repair and carpark construction.

Temporary Closure of Mangoira Road
Manawatu District Council wishes to advise that Mangoira Road will be closed, between 6.00am on 17 June 2024 to 6am 21 June 2024, for the purpose of bridge deck replacement. Should weather or other factors outside of the contractors control delay the works, they will be undertaken on the next suitable dates.

Temporary Closure of Roots Street East, Feilding
Manawatu District Council wishes to advise that Roots Street East, will be closed from its intersection with Churcher Street to the Makino Stream end of the road, starting Monday 18 March through till the end of July, in order to upgrade underground services.
The road will remain open for residents and those visiting residents. Traffic management will be in place during this time, however there may be minor delays caused by construction machinery. Please follow instructions provided by contractors.
